Rhinolast nasal spray contains azelastine hydrochloride, which is an antihistamine used to treat hay fever. The body produces histamine during an allergic reaction, they are released in the inflammatory response, which results in the symptoms of hay fever. Rhinolast works by preventing the effects of histamine that the body produces.

You should not take rhinolast if you are pregnant or breastfeeding and if you have an allergy to azelastine hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients. Also, some people find nasal sprays uncomfortable, alternative treatments with a different formulation can be provided such as tablets.
