Pepto-Bismol Liquid Original Flavour provides fast relief from five common digestive symptoms: heartburn, indigestion, nausea, upset stomach, and diarrhoea. Its active ingredient, bismuth subsalicylate, forms a protective coating over the stomach and intestines to soothe discomfort.

How to Use Pepto-Bismol Liquid
- Dose: 30ml orally (use provided cup) every 30–60 minutes as needed.
- Maximum: 8 doses (240ml) in 24 hours.
- Duration: Do not use it for more than 2 days. If symptoms persist, consult your doctor.
- Hydration: Drink plenty of clear fluids if using for diarrhoea to prevent dehydration.
Safety Information
Age Warning: Not suitable for children or teenagers recovering from chickenpox or flu-like symptoms due to risk of Reye’s syndrome.
Allergies: Avoid if allergic to salicylates (including aspirin) or other ingredients.
Consult a Doctor Before Use If You Have:
- A bleeding ulcer
- Bloody or black stools
- Fever or mucus in the stool
Side Effects:
- Temporary darkening of the stool or tongue is normal. Stop use and seek medical advice if you experience ringing in the ears or hearing loss.
