Yes, Gaviscon is considered safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Treatment should be limited to the shortest period needed. Talk to your doctor first.
Special Note for Expecting Mothers:
Pregnancy can increase the chance of heartburn and indigestion. As your baby grows, the added pressure on your stomach can make acid reflux more common.

Very rarely, allergic reactions like skin rash, itching, swelling, or difficulty breathing may occur. Other possible side effects include mild bloating or stomach discomfort. Stop taking the tablets and contact your doctor if serious reactions occur.
Wait at least 2 hours between taking Gaviscon and other medicines, as it may affect how some medications work, including antibiotics, iron supplements, thyroid hormones, and certain heart medications.
