Gaviscon Double Action mint suspension 500ml used to treat the symptoms of gastro-oesophageal reflux. This includes conditions like acid regurgitation, heartburn, and indigestion that can happen after meals or during pregnancy.
For adults and children 12 years and over, the recommended dose is 10-20ml (two to four 5ml spoonfuls). You should take it after meals and at bedtime, up to four times a day. Always remember to shake the bottle well before use.
Children under 12 years of age should only take Gaviscon Double Action Mint on medical advice from a doctor or pharmacist.
You should not take this product within two hours of taking other medicines by mouth, as it can interfere with their action. This is particularly important if you are taking medications such as certain antibiotics, beta-blockers, thyroxine, or iron preparations, among others.
If your symptoms of heartburn and indigestion continue for more than 7 days after starting treatment, you should consult your doctor.
