How does Warticon work?

Warticon is a topical treatment used directly on genital warts in the genital area. It works by targeting the human papillomavirus (HPV), which both causes and sustains genital warts. Instead of attacking the warts directly, which would be ineffective.

The active ingredient, podophyllotoxin, goes after the HPV itself. By inhibiting the virus's ability to multiply and spread, it reduces the symptoms, causing the warts to gradually disappear. As the warts recede, healthy tissue replaces them over time.

No. Warticon weakens condoms and diaphragms. Please remember that genital warts are very contagious and can be passed on even whilst wearing a condom, so you should refrain from sexual activity whilst undergoing genital warts treatment.
